Bio
My research investigates how extracellular vesicles (EVs) produced by gut microbes influence brain health and disease. I aim to uncover the mechanisms that enable subpopulations of bacterial EVs to traffic to the brain and investigate whether they act through cargo delivery or surface interactions. This work, grounded in a fundamental understanding of bEV biology, has the potential to lead to noninvasive, brain-targeted therapies.
