Our work in Computational Neuroscience spans a broad array of problems and systems, from cellular and network dynamics to neural coding and plasticity. We seek to understand how the emergent properties of cells and networks arise from the collective interactions of their constituent components. While some projects are purely theoretical, much of our work involves collaborations with experimental groups in which we seek to bridge the gap between measurements of individual system components and hypothesized whole-system behaviors.
