Bio
I am primarily interested in the neural mechanisms and temporal dynamics of decision making. For successful decision making to occur, the ability to select relevant sensory information while filtering out irrelevant or redundant information is critical. Using a combination of behavioral studies, high-density electrophysiological recordings, and computational modeling, my research with Dr. Tim Hanks (Neurology) explores the mechanism and timescales of circuit-level gating of sensory information to support decision making.
