We study ischemic stroke and intracerebral hemorrhage in rodent models and in humans. Areas of interest include whole genome studies of blood and brain, role of src. We have recently developed an animal model of sporadic Alzheimers disease which involves a combination of inflammation and ischemia. We study blood and brain of older patients with white matter hyperintensities. We also study blood and brain of children with autism and Tourettes.
