Bio
I am interested in the underlying mechanisms that govern development of epilepsy in children. This includes a focus on inhibitory interneuronal microcircuits, EEG analysis, the use of intracranial stimulation to actively probe the network in patients undergoing intracranial EEG, the use of neuromodulation, and mechanisms of genetic epilepsies. To do this, I use analysis of EEG recordings from patients as well as recording directly from resected human tissue and animal models of genetic causes of epilepsy.
